Call me a troglodyte, but I have a real hard time understanding who needs that much RAM in a phone. Even if shared with an iGPU, I don't see who is going to need that much. ECC would be a better use in phones, and even that I find very unnecessary.
8gb is overkill still in my Oneplus 6t :| I think my S10 has 8gb as well, but who knows... never seem to go above 4gb in use.
I agree even 8gb seems like overkill in a phone future proof even save some of that silicon for GPU's lol
I'm not sure to be honest.. I can't even get my head around people wanting to play video games on such a tiny screen.
