    Sorry, it was a sticky so I didn't think it mattered.

    Not broadcasting your ssid is also a violation of the 802.11 specification.

    When a ssid broadcast is disabled the cllent has to send out a probe packet.
    This packet is a unencrypted 802.11 frame used to probe the AP.

    This packet can be sniffed by a rouge AP and highjack your session.
