Sites with graphical demo's!! A feast for the eye. What's a great site for demo's? No game demo's, but demo's like Nalu and all that. I knew a site once, but can't remember what it's name were. EDIT: i've found this one: Scene.org But most of the demo's are rather old.
the new 7800 demos are out and they run on 6 series cards too. http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_downloads_nvidia.html
I once had a demo that I think came with a Matrox Millenium card, which went down a river then into this building with a fairy or something. That looked amazing at the time.
the 7 series demos should run on the 6 series .... shouldn't they ..... will they run decently on the 6600GT ??
I tried that one with the ship (for the 6800 series) and had no luck whatsoever. Looked crap and only got about 15FPS. Probs cos the 6800 series have been optimized to draw those sort of things.
I only know the Nvidia demo's, 3d mark (futuremark.com), aquamark, dreamstripper (ye verry hot ) and rthdribl
If you look just abit down the list on here, it says it requires a 6800, but if you click on more info it says its for a 6200... Heres the link, http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_downloads_nvidia.html
And on this page it just says it requires the 6 series...wtf lol? http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_clearsailing_home.html
GL Excess A GREAT OpenGL demo! Check it out. @Alst: The demo looks kinda old because it was made in 2001, but it's still cool indeed.
www.humus.ca He's got alot of tech demos, not pretty scenics or anything, but just things to show what new technology can do (displacement mapping, shadowing, etc)
Does anybody have a link to the "Matrox Reef" demo ? It looks amazing in the screenshots, but I never found a download-link...
