Impressive ! Almost hitting the limits of 4x PCIe 4.0 Too bad drives based on this will have a huge price premium...
Not bad, guessing it's those rando speeds that are of importance over the seq ones but ~3 Gigabyte isn't bad. Yeah finding some comparisons with the Samsungs and it looks really good actually, nice. EDIT: Hmm TLC and QLC and DRAM for cache but nothing on the amount, well looking at the 980 TLC it hit about 120 GB before that became a issue but then it too a while for the drive to recover. Still not a huge problem short of large file transfers though. Nothing on cost either but the higher-end variant might have a bit of a price tag on it I would assume. Probably improving overall though, hitting up to 2 TB storage now for some of these NVME 1.4's PCI 4.0 devices and then the cores and controllers and RAM and all that tech stuff ha ha. Guess it's not too important, overall max speeds, actual sustained speeds and reliability being what that works out too and the price tag for it all.
