Probably it was not what they anticipated for naming when they started developing the Corona series ARGB Ring frame-based fans, but yeah Silentium POC outs theirs Corona HP Evo RGB series of high st... SilentiumPC releases Corona HP Evo ARGB Ring frame based fans
I dont see a coincidence. It looks like scummy marketing and amusingly will lose business, not just now but for as long as it is remembered.
There are a lot of things about that marketing strategy, and none of them are good. Some would be lawsuits, but wont be because this product is DoA. That's actually good for them, it's the cheapest way out.
Not really...RaD can go on for years for a product...I can't really believe they did this on purpose considering all major platforms now demonetize the word "corona."
well, I can't imagine a world where they cant simply rename that product into anything else. If they don't rename it, it is DoA. Even without COVID-19 outbreak - it's a terrible name. It's a potential lawsuit by Corona beer company and a potential lawsuit from Arctic because it the same cooler sa BioniX (RnD my a$$ they copied the thing 1:1. they went into China, showed them BioniX told them" I want that and a sticker to say "corona""). If you ask me to prove it, just look at that fan and look at BioniX.
Corona was a word long before it was attached to a virus, and remember the virus was only named as such because it looks like one.
https://www.amazon.com/slp/case-fan-rings/2yobnk9zqa9jz5p A list of ring fans. It's a pretty common design. The motor and the fins are what actually matter.
so since most of them are virtually same fan with different brand logo, it's all 2 or 3 chinese models they buy with different stickers. Arctic has anti vibration rubber seals added to mount holes with or without RGB (choice) and have top notch motor and not as hiked up price (there are Arctic fans with same motors as in BioniX with "plain" black design that cost ~$20 for a box of 5 (120mm). They are silent, I have them, compared to them, older Arctic silent fans are loud. never mind my rant. I just don't like copy and paste products claiming years of R n D, that is their own (Silentium or tT, doesn't matter, none of them do that R n D for cheapo fans they mark up later),it just irks me. I did not know there were so many of the same fans under different logo out there... :/
