MODS please close this thread, it's out of control...
so you are telling me that you can't tell the difference between 720/768 and 1080p, cuz from a 17'' inch 720/768p (92ppi) to a 1080p 23' inch monitor (95ppi) the ppi is practically the same.
So practically you are saying there is no difference on any resolution cuz of the ppi? smh.
With your dumb thinking we can assume there is no difference between 1080p and 4k cuz the ppi of a 23' monitor is the same as the ppi of a 46' 4K TV, pls don't be the real idiot here cuz you won the prize of the dumbass here. Don't tell me too you are one of those guys who thinks that 1080p with ssaa is better than a 4k rez
It's obvious the change from 1080p to 1440p and even bigger from 1080p to 4k, crispier images, less jaggies, in 1080p transparent textures are a pixel fest, so the change to a 1440p and 4k are the way to go for PC gaming, apparently you people will say anything to defend that peasant 1080p resolution that should be dead now.
PD: you should throw away those specs since you can't tell diference between 720/1080/1440, with a 720p capable PC you will be fine, what a wast of PC if you can't even tell those differences.
yes they need to close this, i can't belive a lot of people went salty only cuz i said gtx 1080 is a waste for 1080p60 apparently here in guru3d forums there are people that wont let rest 1080p in peace.
And i never thought there are people who thinks there is no difference between resolutions, like those console users who thinks there is no difference between 30fps and 60fps, what a crazy world.
"there is a big diference between 1080p and 1440p, compared to that 1080p have pixels like peanuts"
Right there. Exactly what you said.
At the same PPI 1080 vs 1440 is the same quality.
"less jaggies and crispier images"
Go on and keep digging, you're just proving everyone's point on how uneducated you are.
Couple that with the terrible grammar and spelling you have.. yeah keep it up, this is hilarious.
1440p= 3686400 pixels (1.78x 1080p)
2160p= 8294400 pixels (4x 1080p)
you really need to go to watch your eyes if you don't see any difference.
"At the same PPI 1080 vs 1440 is the same quality."
oh yeah and at the same ppi 320p vs 1080p is the same quality:stewpid:, , what a dumb answer i expect this kind of replies in youtube comments from console users who thinks they play better than PC in their sub FHD machines with 900p and 720p resolutions.
In other words are you saying that console users were allways right, that between 1080p and 720p there are no difference? And even a PS4 is better than PC cus since there is no point in playing at higher resolutions.
What a waste of PC you have if you play with that at 1080p or even 720p, maybe your daddy and mommy wasted a lot on that PC for you to be missusing it, what a waste.
you are an obvious troll so that's why im blocking you, can't continue arguing with someone who thinks that same ppi means same quality,
"Go on and keep digging, you're just proving everyone's point on how uneducated you are."
you should use your own advises to yourself, obviously here in guru 3ds is a den of ignorant people, worse than peasants (console users)
Close call. I would get the 1080 GTX with OCing it will beat or should beat out 2x 970's You have to do a lot of reserach and also see benchies. gl
Hahaha, thanks for the laugh.
You don't even know what PPI is.
Thanks for the block.
rofllmao, well educate us then, cus everyone knows what ppi is, and there is no way same ppi means same quality, you really are misinforming people and lying trying to make yourself look smarth and win this argument but acting like that will make you look bad like as any other user i replied and clearly i won the argument since there are tons of information on internet supporting all the thing i'm saying, you don't have nothing more than trolling attutide that bring nothing here.
3686400 pixels at 108.79 ppi (27') is better than 2073600 at 107.4 ppi (21'), even if the ppi is almost the same the monitor is showing more pixels and more data hence the image is sharper and clearer. so a higher resolution will have better quality than the lower one even if they have the same ppi, there you have.
Ok so explain how two monitors with the same PPI(lets say a flat 100PPI) one is 1080P the other 1440P.
Explain how 1440P is "less jaggies and crispier"
And no 1PPI difference is not measurable.
Even 10PPI is not noticeable by eyesight.
So other people saying 1080 looks fine to them and you saying "pixels are sizes of peanuts", you make yourself looking like a total idiot because the pixels are virtually the same size. So no, all other things being the same, the quality is not "so much better" for peasants like us :stewpid:
A 27in 1080 vs 27in 1440P is a different story.
Do you think a 20in 1080P has worse quality than a 27in 1440P monitor?
htmlxlmao uch: of course it is worse , who want's to play or even work in a tiny **** like that made exclusively for ants.
and as i explained more pixels are fitting in 100ppi 1440p than in 100ppi 1080p hence the image upgrade is super clear for anyone to see. Even if the professor farnsworth from futurama was real, without his glasses he could see the difference.
No dude, you are wrong. You clearly do not understand what PPI is.
PPI is pixels per inch.
If you get a rulerr and measure 1inch and you have 100 Pixels in a row, that means it has 100 PPI. A 21inch 1080P that has 100 PPI vs a 1440P display that has 100 PPI will have the same clarity/quality/whatever else you want to call it.
The pixels are the exact same size, the pixel density is the same size. The displays will look exactly the same.
No offense, but if you still do not get it after that, i do not know what to tell you.
:mad2: ok you win, it's seem you know very well this things so i'll pass. still 1080p monitors are to small and i don't know how people can play on those(multi monitor it's ok), better to see those beatifull rendered wastelands on big monitors than small ones or big 1080p monitor with pixels like fists that's why 1440p and 4k should be the standard now it's hard to go back to 1080p i can't even look at one without suffering sofocation.
Lol. I'm beginning to think you're not actually a troll and you believe the things you type. Amazing.
oh man, I knew it was smart to toke up before coming online. I fell off my chair.
:flip2:lmao,i really don't know or remeber where did i "troll you", i assure you here is the first time i've met you, but i gues you are a stalker.
But if you think it clearly you people are trolling saying that 1080p and 1440p and from 1440p to 4k there is no difference, obviosly you people never tried more than 1080p, so you keep saying that kind of stupid things, i had to agree to that guy so he can shut up and i can rest of so many ignorant people like you and those other guys in this thread, since he's speaking nonsense about ppi that's has nothing to do with screen resolution. It's like saying that a 480p cellphone with with a tiny 200ppi screen looks better than a 23' 1080p with 92 ppi, you people obviosly don't know nothing, it's like trying to teach how to do basic math to a fish.
You can have higher pixel amount (smaller size) at 23" or 24" e.g. 1080p then at 27",
1080p screen can DSR 2160p as well no jaggies there - well the same amount as on 2160p screen, but obviously not visible. So those DSR'ing it are actually at advantage with extra AA image + bigger fov..
Besides what does all this nonsense have to do with 2x gtx970 vs gtx1080?
nothing, people just got salty when i said a gtx 1080 is a waste for 1080p60, it's better to use it a bigger resolution like 1440 if your target is 60 fps and not waste such a good gpu with tons of antialiasing, was just a opinion but i guess people here are touched with so little, so sad.
lol yes hilarious stuff.
He is a classic case of someone thinking they are smarter than they really are.
There's been zero info, the 1080 ti may not even exist, it's all user speculation.
You are delusional bro. 1080 ti is coming. There has not been a set release date or concrete specs, but it exists.
