    hey

so i have windows 10 on my desktop and quite like it . however my laptop for some reason is running sluggishly on windows 8.1. I have a Lenovo y50-70 and im not sure whether upgrading to windows 10 will help it or make it worse.

Only one way to find out, you can always reinstall 8.1 if not

Best to upgrade it now anyway, the free upgrade expires next year (July 29th iirc)

From my experience, Windows 10 was terrible and buggy. Even after reformatting I had ongoing issues. YouTube not working, games crashing/black screens, etc...

I downgraded to Windows 8.1 X64 Pro and have never been any happier.

Microsoft recently confirmed that there's no way of turning of the automatic spying and data collection when speaking to PC World.

We've known that since day 1 from people sniffing traffic before and after disabling the privacy switches, nothing changes, traffic remains the same
