*stands up* I've heard.. that admiting your problem is the best way of ridding yourself of it.. Okay.. I'm an Nvidia user. I've never owned any other kind of card. Never.

Right now i'm wondering if I can upgrade my video card to a Radeon 9500 without getting a serious bottleneck.

    My specs:
    Gigabyte GA-7VRXP (Kt333)
    Athlon XP 2000+
    Samsung PC2700 512mb
    Maxtor 60gb 7200rpm
    And a Gainward Geforce 4 TI 4400.

    Thanks for your help guys

    I wouldn't seeing as you have a Ti4400.

A 9500 isn't much faster, sure the IQ is better, but it's not worth it in my view.

Going from a ti4400 to a radeon 9500 is a major downgrade (unless you softmod it) But the 9500 pro would be an upgrade. it will give you slightly better fps, and way better fps when you turn on AA or AF. That card is also direct x9 compatible.

Well in another thread I heard a guy say that the got his 9700 pro for $230. At that price, i would skip the 9500 and get the 9700 pro if you can afford it.
