Well I agree that force feedback is an excellent technology and you should by one joysting with force feedback... But in your case if you are looking for something cheap a n analog or digital joystick with 4 or more buttons would do...

BTW if you are into racing sims you should also buy a Force Feedback Racing Wheel

Staples sucks, I don't like naming names. But who wants to put in a postal code on a web site before you even look. I feel like I'm saying "Hey I like in the @$$hole of a country and you can screw me a little more" At least radio shack has the courtesy of asking the paying customers only (even if it is just a battery)
panter xp works great my bud uses it and swears by it, i tried it out and i could actually use it, only took one try impressive for me at least
I'm in agreement with the majority, that the Microsoft Sidewinder is a good stick. I'd think about whether you really want to spend the extra for the force feedback though. If you're into racing games, Microsoft make a pretty decent wheel as well.

-------------------------------

AMD Athlon 1.2 Ghz
ASUS A7V-133
256 MB PC 133 SDRAM
Maxtor 40 GB ATA-100 7200 rpm Hard Drive
32 MB GeForce 2 GTS Graphics Card
Windows 98 Second Edition with Plus
My advice on choosing a joystick would be to get one that has a rectangular or square hole in the base that the actual stick goes into.

I absolutely hate joysticks that have the round hole... You never know where the exact corners are with em..

For driving games especially ya gotta have the rectangular hole so you can still go full bore into corners and just jam the stick into the top/right or top left for full acceleration and full turning...

Just my 2ยข worth....
