Using Unreal Engine now got me worried. In recent times, most games using UE, had technical problems, like stuttering. Just hope this doesn't mean that this game will be an Epic Exclusive.
It's on Steam, Devolver Digital are very pro Steam. Games can use the Unreal Engine and not be exclusive to Steam. At 3DR, we have Ghostrunner and it'll be on Steam. It's using UE4.
Here's hoping for a GOG release. If I remember correctly, SW2 was on GOG day one. It's positive to hear that they're ditching the hubworld/worlds mechanic from SW2, along with the loot system. SW works better as a level-to-level shooter with a fixed arsenal.
Do these games have the option to turn off the numbers that come out of the enemies when you hit them?
It probably wont even have them as there is no loot so no different damage values for the same weapons so your arsenal is fixed to one set of weapons like Doom. There wouldn't be any need for damage numbers on enemies. Check out the gameplay trailer, there are no numbers in there I can't remember if you could turn them off in SW2 though, maybe there is a mod that can do it.
i'll likely play it, but like the two previous games the graphics tend to get too messy from time to time.
Gameplay reveal. It looks more interesting than the trailer imho. I'm looking forward to this one, even though I'm not a big fan of the added platforming parts.
We have Doom Eternal and Serious Sam 4, Shadow Warrior 3 and at least Prodeus still to come. Good times to be into shooters!
Okay, the Steam page is still up then Also hadn't been linked earlier so consider yourselves convenienced Also wishlisted faster than I circle strafe an Ogre in Quake
looks like a nice mishmash of gameplay ideas from other games -pushing enemies into spikes/traps/off ledges like from dark messiah -dash, double jump, grappling hook, wallrunning etc. from titanfall, nudoom, etc. -glory kills from nudoom, but I like this implementation better because it's only for the boss enemies and you get a new weapon/item from it Environments look great as well
