Setting up SSD and Raid 0

    Yes and when you take into count I have an 8X raid card in a 16X slot, the speed is very realistic.

    Also, as I have 2 more ssd's running at once is all responsible for the massive speed I get.

    8X600=4800

    8X500=4000

    Below is what I get with my 2 Samsung 840 Pro 256GB SSDs in RAID 0. 1069MB/s is not bad at all. Maybe nice as a reference.

    I used to have four 500GB HDD is RAID 0. That worked well. The difference between HDD and SDD performance, except the speed, is that SDDs have a constant horizontal performance and the HDDs have a curved performance. But more importantly, HDDs cannot beat the access time of SSDs, which comes into play when accessing lots of small files.
