Ok looks like my P3 550 finally gave up the ghost and the motherboard is now a paperwieght.

My question is this, Just rebuilt this rig from the ground up and was curious on what adjustments need to be made in the bios and software etc. 3Dmarks are 7300 out of the box settings.

    Asus P4B533 mainboard
    Intel P4 1.9 Ghz Chip
    512MB PC2100 DDR mem
IBM 40 GB ATA 100 Drive
    Gainward Gforce 3 TI 500
    Creative SB Audigy Gamer

    Thanks in advance

    Let's see...
(some might not exist on your machine, I'm just listing the common ones)

    BIOS settings:
    Video BIOS Shadow: Disabled
    AGP Aperature: 256MB
    PnP OS: Disabled
RAM Timings: This depends, 2-2-2 is usually what good quality RAM is capable of

Download RivaTuner and the 30.30 Detonators from www.guru3d.com

For your vid card, I'd suggest:

    Vsync: Always Off
    Mipmap Adjustment: -0.5
    Rendering Depth: Always 32bpp
    Anisotropy: Quality Based, Level 4
    Antialiasing: Always off

And don't forget to use Riva's refresh rate unlocker.

If you don't get fast enough gameplay, turn the Anisotropic filter off, but my GF3 classic managed 4x AF no problem, so you should be good.

Browse here: http://www.asusboards.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=41 and check out the threads about the P4B533. I'm not sure if it applies to your system (because of your 1.9chip (100mhz Williamette right?)), but it seems the CPU/Memory setting in your bios may be labelled incorrectly and that with an undocumented jumper setting you may be able to run your memory faster (provided it's good quality memory). Good luck.
