The database server is continueing to give us a hard time. As you guys noticed things are just extremely slow. Basically the upcoming days MySQL and probably the OS kernel on that server will get updated to see if we can stretch a little more performance out of it. Next to that the server-admins will add another 2.8 Xeon CPU this week after which the database server will run in Dual CPU setup. It's on order. Hopefully after all these measures things will be speedy enough again. And if not, well ... we'll figure something out.
Hilbert, I suggest upgrading the forum to a newer version, it may use less resources with the updates and fixes. Is there anyway to remove inactive users that register and never post or come back?
Upside down specs.. funky. Also a few users have posted multiple threads (3 or 4) but I suspect that's just because they're impatient when trying to post and it's not going anywhere.
Well, Hilbert said that the latest version had a major bug, and he is waiting for them to release a newer version with the bug removed and then he will upgrade... I hope that won't take a long time...
