Not sure why they would use velour earpads . Usually that will result in less bass, but better soundstage.
I really hate headphones that fold this way. Also folding flat is so much better around the neck.

Used Sennheiser in the past, and the first thing i noticed was how hard they press down on your head.

These wont be comfortable for people with glasses like me, since they are On-Ear. Takes 15-20 Minutes untill you go crazy from pain ^^

I'm still using my good old AKG K601, can wear it all day long without noticing i have it on. If it ever dies, i will go for the same design again.

I own and have owned multiple Sennheiser headphones, and out of all the brands I've tried I'd rate them as the most comfortable by far. Of course this varies from headphone to headphone, but on average they tend to come out on top.

Well... I can barely even notice that I have my 595's on so I really doubt that all Sennheisers clamp hard.

I've owned 595, 650s and 800s. Three most comfortable headphones I've ever had.

I have the Sennheiser Momentum On-Ear headphones and the they have the same kind of velour ear pads. The bass is has punch and impact its amazing. I've read professional reviews that actually say that they are bass heavy. I wouldn't worry about the bass on these

The Momentum on-ear headphones clamp very hard. Some reviews suggest bending the headband to loosen them up. That worked for mine but I cant wear them more than a few hours.

I didn't notice that myself, and I don't mean to sound offensive to you or others when I say this: Some people have bigger heads than others. It depends entirely on the person. I think I've a smaller head than most, as a lot of the "clamp" headphones I hear about don't bother me when I've tried them over prolonged periods. It really does depend.

Well, something is sure, when you dont know what headphones use, just take the Senheiser one, it will be allways good ( at least on sound ), whatever is the price range ( 50-100 or 200$ ) ...

Personally, actually i use High grade AKG, they are excellent, but you need a good DAC with good impedance for get the most of it ... ( studio monitoring headphones )

I love my PX-100s great headphones, got some HD201s as well, got as good, but for the price good value.

These new ones however, I can't think of anything worse than the "sound of a club".

I've also read that after using them for a while, the pads soften up more and it gets more comfortable.

Beats I can understand passing on.... but you can't deny Sennheiser makes some seriously nice headphones for the price.

I mean personal taste and price range is obviously going to play a role in determining which headphone is right for you. A lot of people told me the Tesla T1's were better than the HD800's for metal/rock and I disagree completely. But I definitely like the T1's better for electronic.

All the top companies, grado, sennheiser, beyerdynamic, audeze, etc are all going to be excellent set of cans.

KRK make good ones. More studio targeted but flat response gives a better idea of what music actually sounds like.
