Second gtx 260 core 216 not showing up

I just installed my second gtx 260 core 216 and it isn't showing up in the device manager. It is however getting power because the fan on the card is spinning.

What should I do?

 

ok i hope your aren't using the motherboard in your specs because that isn't a Sli board. And probalby the reason it isn't working.

 

Can you give a little more information, for example what Nvidia drivers have you installed and version. Also what are you seeing (if anything) under the Display Adaptors in device manager (are you seeing a generic VGA device etc).

In addition might be worth doing a cut and paste of the first screen in system information so we know what memory, cpu, motherboard you have.

Agreed, if your using the motherboard in your spec it will not work, hence my above post for more information as I'm assuming your not using that

 

Yeah that isn't the mobo I'm currently using lol. I got it working btw.

 

What was the problem in the end encase others have the same issues.

 

Probably another restart.

 

For some reason the 55nm gtx 260 core 216 had to be in the first slot. If it was the other way around vista x64 would not recognize the second gpu.
