Seeing as Seasonic has such a good reputation, I would much rather them increase their prices than cut corners. They're one of the only remaining PSU brands that seem to actually care about making good products and work exactly as advertised (if not better). EVGA is the only other one that comes to mind.

I still not sure how he go in office when he pissed off half country with his comments ( the female side) and i know not all males liked him let alone voted for him.

the only truth from him was the comment he made about " im afraid this election is gona be rigged" as far as i concerned.

Because a lot of our country holds beliefs that don't paint anybody other than heterosexual white males as equally fit for all things in life.

Luckily my grandmother made more than my grandfather so it put that theory to bed.

Tariffs are used as an economic stranglehold to squeeze one side into submission. What you gain in feeling of control, you lose in economic stability.
China's economy is much bigger than the US'. Wanting free markets mean international ones too and this is an example of government overreach.
We are developed to the point a tariff like this actually hurts the economy.

Now most computer part prices have or will rise.

    EVGA doesn't manufacture PSUs.

Their high-end stuff is Superflower which I believe is in Taiwan but if it's china too then we can expect most good PSU prices rising in general.

I would say FSP. And other manufacturers are still around.

What is bothersome are people crying in the corner about Trump.
And yes, as @tsunami231 wrote, US elections were rigged. When 99% of media support one candidate, it is rigging of election as people get narrative instead of unbiased reports/news. But do not worry, Trump was not their favorite.

Hilbert, this is going to be a political topic, I'm not even sure who you were referring to there. This is a topic about prices of our gear going up.

So far, the only outcome to tariffs (for the average Joe) is higher prices. American companies are simply raising their own prices to being in line, just short of the tariffed, foreign competition.

It's a bad time to be a consumer. It's all inflated superficially, much like the ego of the brainless leader who envisioned this plan.

The reason Seasonic is raising prices for US customers is a result of a tariff in the United States.

The reasons for this tariff are political, therefore politics are the result of this news piece.

It would have been better to prevent comments on this article to prevent political debate.

You can't blame them for this or any other PC part manufacturer. If the tarrifs eat into their profit margins of course they will raise prices. A lot of the profit margins on PC parts aren't that high anyway so these tarrifs could cause some companies to lose money on each part sold if prices aren't raised.

I don't know if it's still planned but I read Amazon wanted to prevent sellers from raising the prices of products sold on their website and instead force the companies to take the hit.

While there could be repercussions for his post, he does have a point. The tariffs aren't exactly having the envisioned impact. Jobs are not flowing back into the US, as it was claimed the tariffs would cause. Instead, US companies have been laying off workers or going bankrupt as a result of higher prices on materials, while consumers are going to start seeing price increases on products from China and the US. Am I excited about so much of what we in the US buy being made in China? Not in the least. However, US companies have not been competitive on pricing for years and tariffs won't fix that. Unfortunately, those in control of the country don't understand why and don't have any reason to educate themselves.
