The PC version of Sea of Thieves, which is currently only available via the Microsoft Store and Xbox Game Pass for PC, is coming to Steam, publisher Microsoft and developer Rare announced. A release d... Sea of Thieves for PC coming to Steam
This is not surprising me, honestly the windows store is a broken mess and frequently just stops being able to install stuff properly.
It's pretty sad but true. My wife's 2012 MacBook Pro Windows 10(haven't booted into Mac OS fr years) can't even install the Roblox app because of some dumb error that nothing I try fixes it.
Try installing it in a new user profile, then usein the existing account powershell with Add-AppxPackage -register "path to\AppxManifest.xml" -DisableDevelopmentMode use something like total commander to access the windowsapps folder, using Explorer will change the permissions and break the apps folder in weird ways.
Yea I had issues with the Store on a Surface at work, new user profile cured it. Very weird bug. Another weird one on my PC at home is some games didn't show updates until I went in to Xbox Game Pass for PC. Then I had 3 updates pending. I hadn't been on for a few weeks and I literally just checked for updates in the Store before. Sea of Thieves is a great game, been playing on PC for a while, lots of things to do now vs. a year ago.
I can't stand the MS Store or metro/uwp in general. I get same issues, very randomly apps don't install or update. I bought game Pass ultimate for Xbox and was excited to play some of the game Pass PC games until I realized how badly broken it is. Same with the Nvidia control panel now being a Store app, unless you get the other classic style drivers instead . It will likely never go away though so I guess get used to it if you plan on using Windows 10 for foreseeable future.
not so, i never had problem to found a complete crew for the bigest ship. The main problem with this game is that it is boring when played alone, also it's a bit like "where are you?" voice is needed to enjoy it (and in english of course)...but when played in team it is a wonderfull game, M$ added content regulary.
M$ gave tools to developers to implement DX12 for their games, like WoW, afaik. There no official support for DX12 in Windows 7. Please give more information on it if its available. Steam doesn't mention WIndows 7 being supported on the spec list.
Steam doesn't mention AOEE on 7 either, but it does work. (and it worked on 8.1 before it did 7) CODMW/WZ is DX12 on 10 and 7. But SoT is D3D11.
Hah, I was under wrong impression it was built on in-house engine that only runs DX12. Yeah, it seems to be built on unreal engine. So M$ could of released it for Win7 anytime, but wanted gamers to switch to Win10 and to promote freaking M$ store? Damn, what a shame.
