i tired them in win xp and they sucked, i got rear channels swapping when using headphones mode.. my sb model is SB046A so its 100% supported but dunno what went wrong,.
im using uaa1.5 in win7 atm and it works flawlessly, dunno if i want to risk it here..

anyway tnx for heads up, someone might like them after all:nerd:

Ah too bad they are giving you problems. I was getting alot of distortion my with previous drivers but these cleared it right up, clear sound all round. Hope they help others. According to this forum post http://forums.creative.com/t5/Sound...-05-16-2010/m-p/556340/highlight/true#M154944 there will be more updates on the driver soon.

using a Forte and the driver won't install for me either using the installer or forcing it manually. :(

meh it was the same crap in win7 64bit, rear channels swapping while in game mode and using headphones mode..

side speakers swapping with rear underneath.. and i uninstalled it and removed any shared files.. i then reinstalled old 1.5 uua driver and all fine again.. so yea there is something in this crappy driver that does that.

hmm..i have the same sound card as u, but i don't have that problem, though when i start the test, i think it want to swap, cause i hear it for less than a second, but only when i start it, after it goes ok! So yeah, i think it is little bit buggy. Btw, i've lost my THX settings once and i don't know why and how to return it, i see u still have it.

it starts fine here, but if i let it run around i hear this kinda like clipping and channel swapping at those points.

I thought i installed it wrong or even thought its was pax suite fault in winxp but its not.

And in win7 i used only this DK 1.5 uaa suite and then removed the driver from it; i doubt it would interfere though.. if it would then i would have had a prob now when i reinstalled back to this 1.5 uaa driver, but i don't.

Its either audio control panel fault or or cmss3d or my card doesn't like this sheit..

I wouldn't hold out for anything driver wise for the Forte, there haven't been any new drivers since July last year.

I really like their cards but I actively warn people off them now. The support is non existent.

I have X-Fi Elite Pro on Win7 64bit + support pack 2.0 and it's working fine. Uninstalled previous drivers 1st, rebooted, installed new driver, rebooted, enjoyed new driver. It seems to have slightly better sound than the one that comes with support pack 2.0 but maybe I'm just imaging things.

    EDIT:

oh yeah...the bass in gamemodus while playing games is very nice...kinda stronger and more behind it...dunno cant explain very good..

Lets say it like that, before it was kinda scratching the bass..Now its very clear..no scratching at all..its a deep clear BooOoomm.. now..

    Awesome in Creative GameMode..
