I currently have 250gb SATA II drive and I'm getting a new computer soon. This drive I have now has windows on it plus all my music and such. If I take this drive and plug it into my new system which has is 1TB SATA II drive with Windows 7 installed in, will it conflict? I will want the 1TB to be the primary and the 250gb for backup stuff.

you can set the primary boot drive from the bios menu, you may end up with a dual boot menu, but in windows you can change it in the settings so it only boots the windows you want, then what i'd to is copy all your fiiles from 250->1T and format the 250, then set your folders and copy the stuff back :)

It should be fine, but you will need to take full control of your current drive once it goes into your new OS., otherwise you won't have admin rights to the 250GB sata.
