Sapphire has announced their Radeon RX 6800 XT Nitro and Pulse Series. The RX 6800 XT Pulse (and Pulse OC) will be the more cost-effective custom-design RX 6800 XT option from Sapphire.... Sapphire Reveals their Radeon RX 6800 (XT) Nitro and Pulse Series
Around 2.7 slot design seems to be standard for both AMD and Nvidia AIBs with air cooling. Pulse looks good, but I think the Nitro version looks amazing. Must admit I am little tempted to buy one next year for my second system just to try a full Team Red system. If so I would go for the Sapphire Nitro for sure. I still need Nv for work, but would be fun to try.
Have not you heard? 450W cards. Now Seriously. Do people still believe that power draw is constant over time? Where does coil whine comes from? And why it has frequency same as frame rate? @Embra : Nitro+. Because just Nitro has lower quality, have worse cooling, ...
I don't want to cross any lines here, but IF those show up in some contest here, I will want to win. Like, totally.
The Nitro+ from Sapphire has also revealed a triple-fan cooling design. Two fans feature 9 blades each and one has 12 fan blades. Looks like it's two fans with 12 blades and one with 9 blades on the Nitro+.
@Embra Only heard good things about Sapphire cards. @Fox2232 I could be wrong but from the Sapphire product page it looks like all cards since RX5000 have been Nitro+. RX VEGA did have one Nitro and rest was Nitro+. Just wondering the only difference I see so far between the non SE version and SE version is what output they have. There is no specs on them yet, but I guess the SE version is higher clocked too? https://www.sapphiretech.com/en/consumer/nitro-radeon-rx-6800-xt-16g-gddr6 https://www.sapphiretech.com/en/consumer/nitro-radeon-rx-6800-xt-se-16g-gddr6 Edit: Think I found the answer on previous gen the SE is slightly higher clocked.
i was hoping to buy a Nitro+ for my workstation and my den. BUT, as a triple slot design it is ruled out of the den just like rtx 3070, 3080. and as a custom board there will be an even longer wait for a block. plus why pay for the advanced air cooling when you're going to watercool? so i guess im going to get a Pulse
Performance wise, they should replace the 5000 series, maybe with a bit extra performance. I'm worried AMD will charge 400€ for them, as rumours about 3060 price aren't great.
I have a feeling the 6700XT will be close to a 3070/2080Ti performance wise and with 12GB RAM will cost £450, or similar in euros unfortunately
Between 2080S and 2080ti i think but with 12GB vram around 400$. Considering the shitty situation that we are in that is actually good.
It varies a bit, depending on the game, but at 1440p the 2080S is ~15% and the 2080Ti ~30% faster than the 5700XT. We now know that the RDNA2 architecture is quite a bit better than RDNA1 so the 6700XT has got to be 30% faster easily, surely..... or is that hopefully
