Yeah, will be quite the heater alright. But hey, I already turn the heating off in my gaming room during winter time. On the flip side, I run AC almost all the time during summer, so no savings sadly.

Nice to see some custom Vega cards finally popping though.

I really wanted AMD to have success in both cpu and gpu, ryzen was a great success IMO, Vega not so much.

That true compared to my old HD7870 it wicked fast and I wasn't buy the fastest as they where out of my $400 budget when I purchase the Vega 56 on Nov 2 the same day as the review come for the 1070 Ti other then that I would had to wait 2/3 more months just get a that one.

An early April fools day joke from Scan computers UK - piss takers or what?

    8GB Gigabyte Radeon RX Vega 56, 14nm, 3584 Streams, 1156MHz, 1471MHz Boost, 800MHz HBM2, DP/HDMILN84150

    £504.49

I still like the idea of HBM2, just not enough of it about causing delays ...... and reflecting on prices. Poor ole amd jumped through the hoop too fast. If the price is right I to would like one of these cards SAPPHIRE Radeon RX Vega 64 NITRO .

Power wise, unless your drinking gallons of coffee that keep you gaming 24/7 the cost in electric has been proved futile. Turn the heating down in your room, cost recovered :D

I see more people waste energy boiling a kettle, ' full of water for one cup or two, ' and this is repeatedly, day in day out!

Yes that sad that the prices are high over there that would have been $650 US dollar but it wasn't as I didn't have to pay for sale tax that would add more on top it, where your VAT is part of cost all ready add in to final price which could be why it sky high here.

No wonder Overclockers have an absolute crap load of 64s in, as Scan are just hammering them on prices :p

Just pictures of the GPU and box though, no specs but the product prices were added and at 639 Euro for the '56 and 750 Euro for the '64 that's pretty expensive. (As is to be expected for Vega by now I guess, more so for these third party models.)

EDIT: Ah they're listed on the Swedish Komplett store too, dated at December 20th but that might just be placeholder.
(But that that price level the 1080Ti is lower in cost aside from the top-end third party models and water cooled editions.)
(And the regular 1080 or the 1070Ti just kills it in price vs performance ratio.)

Yeah, USD wise that's 750 for the 56 and 882 for the 64 though it's possible the sales price for US retailers will be better but I have no doubt the Vega price will still be inflated compared to what the competition offers making it a very hard sale aside from current miner trends for GPU crypto currencies. (Monero now was it?)

Overpriced as it is as soon as Vega is in stock here they still tend to sell out almost immediately, would look impressive for AMD if said stock wasn't about a dozen cards or so in total each time and that's across every manufacturer currently selling Vega.
Even now months after the GPU' supposed release date availability is still a problem and the price fluctuates heavily but generally always a fair bit above the recommended MSRP so it's kinda hard to recommend these cards at current prices.
(Vega 56 for 700 USD - or higher. - or the 1080 for what, 500? You can probably even get the 1080Ti for less particularly now with multiple models available and readily in stock)
