Hi, according to GPU-Z I have this exact BIOS on my card: http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/151348/sapphire-r9290-4096-131211-1.html 113-E285FOC-U003 / VER015.042.000.000.000000 285PF500.U43 While browsing the site, I found this newer BIOS though: http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/153454/sapphire-r9290-4096-140115.html 113-E285HOC-X002 / VER015.043.000.001.000000 285PF5H0.O42 Could I just download that BIOS and use it on my current card? Would there be any advantages to it? Is it possible that the 14.1 drivers run better on the latest BIOS? Ive googled a bit but I couldnt find any Changelog regarding the two BIOS versions.c1:
I have an early launched Sapphire ref with different bios then the latest I received there seems to be no difference in anything common as the fan controls or stability that I could quickly determine . I see no harm in flashing the bios and it may give you some positive placebo effect
I have flashed the bios with ATIWinFlash, so far it seems fine. I have also removed 13.12 with DDU and reinstalled 14.1. so far all is working...
