Sapphire HD5870 Vapor-X (REV 2) (WITH PIC's)

    I stand corrected then..
    Based on this review it look's like Sapphire did cut costs with this new version of the Vapor-X. :thumbdown

    Whether it has any impact on the cards overall performance remains to be seen.
    It's hard to say if overvolting has been completely disabled, or if updated versions of software (eg. MSI Afterburner) will need to be released that contain updated profiles for the new regulators used on this card.

    The VRMs they usually use when cutting down a card doesn't support software voltage control.

    And this is likely the case here unfortunately.

    Seems odd that Sapphire would chose to cut back on their higher model 5870 though?


    BTW, So far I've played a little HAWX and DiRT 2, and have really enjoyed the game-play on these 5870's!
