I wanted to buy this tv for gaming purposes, i read it has low input lag but the problem is.
Is it right that if the tv is 4k native resolution and i hook to desktop through hdmi it will run into scaling issues? Like part of the screen on desktop will not show therefore cutting part of the screen and not showing it all? And does the tv need to have a display port so that this doesnt happen? Can i hook it to gtx970 or i can t put down the resolution to 2k (2560*1440)for example
So that the 970 can handle games.
    Thanks

I had the Samsung 48 "JU7500 4K and now I have the Samsung 49" KS8000, no scaling issues at all running at 3840x2160, I set some games to 2560x1440 if I can't run them at 60fps 4k with my 980Ti and it looks great still.

You can put ultrawide resolutions on them too like 3440x1440 or if you want a higher ultrawide resolution then use 3840x1620 and you can actually get more screen real estate with ultrawide resolutions than an actual ultrawide montior.

Make sure you turn on Game mode for the low input lag though and you'll be golden.

Using Ultrawide resolutions on a 16:9 display would waste black bars at the top and bottom that would have otherwise shown additional content at (possibly) a higher vertical FOV, depending on the game. In many or most cases, it would be a pretty bad idea to do so.
