Well, that's going to look sharp and colorful. Samsung has been working on a 15.6-inch UHD (3840 x 2160 pixels) OLED panel intended notebook/laptop market. Mass productions starts next month.... Samsung to offer 15.6-inch UHD OLED Display For Laptops
I think OLEDs are amazing at response times. In the < 1 ms range. But I don't know for sure about these.
< :: VERY IMPORTANT :: > Shorter response time doesn't reduce the motion blur because you see https://www.blurbusters.com/faq/oled-motion-blur/ But yes lower persistence time can decrease the motion blur.
Yeah... I wonder if that's something they can really solve or if it will always be the achilles heel of OLED panels. Also something that kind of bothers me, I do realize Windows 10 can handle high resolutions much better than 7, but 4k on a 15.6 inches panel seems a bit too much to me.
Nice, Samsung should just release RGB OLED UHD displays for their TV's already. LG panels aren't all that great honestly from what I see, hear and read, so I would get a Samsung RGB OLED over any LG's white pixel filter nonsense anyday.
I'm a bit surprised how long it's taking for laptops to get OLEDs. I understand OLEDs still aren't really good enough for long-term use, but they sure make ultrabooks just a bit more "ultra".
