Beta2 is now live in the UK.
Hello, I'm upgrading to Samsung Galaxy S9 in a few weeks It went on a flash sale that reduced it's price over a third, so a high-end phone happened to end in my price category. Here's hoping that the battery will last longet than HTC M9's (3 years)... Any tips regarding battery use for a more casual user (eg calls, backup internet connection when out of wi-fi range, some light gaming, etc.)?
Disable fast charge
Keep scren at manual and 15-30%, if outside slide until you can read try to avoid max brightness or it will consume more. Or if at auto lower it so it learns your lower algorithm. But outside it will raise to max no matter what.
Do regular battery check with buildin app to see if there is anything consuming more battery then normal
Also try to use that app to clean memory/cache time to time
When idle close all background apps
Dont use mobile data all the time, wifi consumes less. Unless you live close to mobile antenna and you have good signal.
Also use normal battery save, I use it only for CPU so it uses 70% of it helps too at times.
Display resolution keep auto preapplied fhd+ ? I saw that max 1440p is interpolated and not really native, can help by games too.
When a new patch comes and if you notice lower battery try to clear internal cache. Power off; volume up+ bixby+ power button and then clear cache partition.
That said I vary from 6.30-7.30.. lately 7.-8hrs OST.
My status from yesterday full drain
So far the best yet and I own this phone since July.
Thanks for the tips! Will do!

Ps with android pie it will only get better, no doubt about that.
I'm maybe looking to upgrade to S9+ on account of my contract renewal.
I got the choice between S9+, Mate 20 pro, and Iphone X.
All cost roughly the same. Probably getting the S9+, can anyone give me a quick rundown on how good it is? I'm coming from an s6 edge with a crap battery life and piss poor performance so i'm guessing anything new will be like pure heaven.
new pie beta rolling out
Just got the notice here, updating
