Your first time seeing a hd 1080p video on the oled on this phone was amazing right? I bought a 1080p movie the documentary TimeScapes from the net for my S4. Later I'll get around to converting a blue ray or two. I've read that my Avatar blue ray will be around 20gb as a mp4. Which I could fit on the sd card.

I've had 4.3 for a few weeks now and for whatever reason the Driving Mode keeps turning on automatically whenever it connects to my car's bluetooth and I can't figure out how to stop it from turning on. Anyone have any ideas?

i can imagine what causes it.

go to settings, my device. accessories. check if some kind of option there. but do this when u connected to car BT.

OR in settings ,OTHERS tab. location services, my places, there u can see some kind of option for that too.

To anyone here running an S4 LTE on the 3 network in the uk, do you ever connect at 42 mbps via dc-hspa, I'm in an area supposedly enabled for it but the max I ever connect at is 21mbps, also confirmed that by the speedtests I've ran.

" Mr.Bigtime" seems to have major problems with every flagship device and they claim to have owned nearly all of them. I think it's pretty clear at this point it's a user rather than device issue.

well HTC ONE didnt do any of it. Xperia Z didnt which my wife still uses. HTC one is secondary phone with brother and he says it is silky smooth as he was using S4 as s secondary phone and he was moaning about what i exactly does.

i currently have Z1 and wonder why it doesn't do any negative issues i mentioned. maybe Turkish Market S4s r crap? no idea. but it was also 4.2.2. they never pushed 4.3 to my phone. neither bros which rt legit phones.

I don't know, but the S4 is AFAIK the most sold Android phone of 2013. If it was as bad as you're suggesting, don't you think we would have heard more complaints? Sounds to me like you had a faulty unit.

Mine is dead stable, literally never crashes and does not lag. It was fine on 4.2.2, and works just as well on 4.3. The camera's great, battery life is ok and the screen is very nice. Plus, it takes SD cards. No complaints, will not hesitate to buy Samsung again.

If you're going to get a stylus, go for the s-pen. They cost more, but they are worth the cost easily.

For the S4, the S3 c-pen works perfectly, even the menu and back buttons.
The amazon stylus is another option, but the tip is a little larger, it works on other devices though.

    (remember to enable high sensitivity.)

A S-Pen wouldn't work though since the S4 doesn't have the wacom digitizer.

So I finally got around to sending in my busted s4 for repair (the screen was malfunctioning and I just used my s2 for a while), they fixed it and sent it back no problem, which is cool.

Thing is, I've spent the last 2 days trying to install a custom rom on it, found a saferoot method but on the latest build they installed (MK2) the bootloader is locked, so the only recovery I could use is safestrap, and even then I can't install anything that doesn't use the stock Samsung kernel, i.e. no AOSP/CM/anything worthwhile. So I just wasted a bunch of time and voided my warranty for nothing, just gonna keep having to suck touchwiz's dick. Really frustrating.

It's a great phone but definitely not gonna buy any more from samsung as long as they insist on forcing you to use their own crappy software. Hoping the xda guys figure something out soon, I wanna get rid of all this useless bloatware and get kitkat etc, plus I just like tinkering with phones

what 4.4.x roms have you tried?? any stable ones out there???

Foxhound have just released a 4.4.2 samsung based rom, Knox Free.... but sounds a bit buggy atm... i tried the Paranoid Android 4 beta3 again a bit buggy, and such low benchmark scores too

I rolled back to my Foxhound 3.6 (android 4.3)

Jamal's kitkat rom. Works a treat. Rc1.1 is c the latest version last I checked. It's a "nexus" rom though, not sure if you like pure Google experience.
