Looks impressive. I wonder how much one of these bad boys cost, though.

    Why Tegra?

Samsung's Exnyos is notably faster than Tegra 2 as it is, as is pretty much any other dual-core at this point.

samsung said that it and the galaxy tab 7.7 arent coming to the US, or are going to be coming very late.

the price for some countries in europe is ~ $1000 for the phone

and the samsung SoC is much faster than Tegra 2.

I like the design i honestly i do but somehow i think the phone might be a bit too big. Personally i think 4.3 inch screens are the best medium for phones and media.

Its not a matter for being faster, but compatible, whats the point of having a uber machine if you cant run all the games?

Android could use a directx like thingy tough.. then i wouldn mind

I honestly don't see how this thing will be a hit. IMO, its too big to be a phone and too small to be a tablet. Add to that the reported insane price of above 1k :3eyes:

Not bad. Should be more common with those touchscreen phones, I dont care if it would be few mm thicker, I just want good battery life.

It does, it's called OpenGL ES.

All Android SoCs are compatible on the hardware level, the 'incompatibility' you mention is just Nvidia paying developers to have exclusive content. It's not that other SoCs can't run it, they could do so perfectly fine.

This is Nvidia being the bad guy pretty much, personally I see that as justification for not buying a device based on a Nvidia SoC but YMMV.

Edit: Not that I'd buy a smartphone or any other MID to play games upon anyway, I have a high-end desktop after all.

i have a g2x phone with the tegra 2 and it is great except for one thing. NVIDIA. they will not release driver code or anything for developers to get some things working like a2dp. while i love the phone i think it wil be my last nvidia phone maybe product from them.
