I want to buy this monitor and replace my old Samsung S27A950D wich is about 6 years old now.

    http://thenextweb.com/reviews/2016/...r-competitive-gamers-and-photographers-alike/

The reviews of this new monitor are excelent, but then again its still full HD
In the past i had tried the ROG SWIFT PG279Q and i did not liked it the picture it was very washed out compared to my old samsung and the colors where really dull, plus the sharpnes of the screen the IQ was also very bad.

So no more crappy Asus for me.
Anyone else here have experience with this samsung monitor ?
Also if i go 1440p i want that the monitor is @ least 32 inch.
    27 inch @ 1440p is terrible small.

    27inch @ 1080p is perfect for me.
And 32 inch @ 1440p but there are none yet.

Yeah i was thinking to get the 24inch to, its only 3 inch smaller then the 27, its not that huge.

Then again i have a 27inch now but that one is legacy and very old :p

The price difference is mental tho between them two, about 100 euro more for the 27 inch one here in the Netherlands.

My current 23.5" is enough, if I were a bit further from the desk then 27" for sure
Yeah the price was also the factor, I saw 24" for ~390€, 27" 520€, e.g. amazon.de, on amazon.it it was ~ 359€ for short time :nerd:
    https://www.amazon.de/samsung-c24fg...1481726951&sr=8-1&keywords=Samsung+CFG70&th=1

Imo this curved thing is really next-gen in monitors, + great contrast, +144hz, only downside is 1080p, but I can always downsample like now by almost any game, except RoTR, Divison, Quantum Break,.:pc1: :D, 1080p for those..

Btw I saw there are also making 1440p with same specs, 27 and 32" models. But obviously more $$$$

EDIT: I just read few reviews on amazon.de and apparently it has some amd freesync issues - flicker and colors bugs, but only when AMD freesync active,
    https://www.amazon.de/gp/customer-r...f=cm_cr_arp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B01LN1QSQY

It also has a 90-144Hz in DP, can be hacked with one tool for 44-144, HMDI 90-119Hz.
Normal mode e.g. fixed 120 or 144Hz is fine, no flicker or color issues.

He then goes it could be SN model specific, I saw he posted in November, so maybe Samsung fixed it by newer models?

Will do btw check this video out Tj u be surprised how crappy the asus ips panel of almost 900 euro is compared to this samsung, just mind blown lol.

Asus just got creppy ips glow all over the place, the colors are also much more greyish, the white levels in the samsung are also miles better, plus the blacks are real blacks.

And just look @ the picture quality [in game] the samsung is miles better.

This guy btw made english subtitle for reading u should watch it.

There is. The 32" HP Omen. Only freesync and 75hz. That wont put me off though. Would have to see it up close though to inspect panel coating as some matte coatings can be off-putting.

    https://www.monitornerds.com/hp-omen-32-review-32-inch-freesync-gaming-monitor/

I used to have the 27a950d, loved the glossy panel, but 27" and 1080p not best combination.

So far so good the image is nice and crisp [sharp] the curve screen makes u feel u like more into the game a bit :)

I love it so far, got zero backlight bleed either, going to test some very dark games and see how it goes.

So far a good monitor :D

As far as IQ goes it beats the BenQ XL2730Z by a fair margin as far as colors, white background and even text look ,But i do miss the extra screen space the 1440p TN screen gave on the desktop ,but not noticeable in game which is good , i was playing Assassins creed origins last night on the new monitor and the extra FPS i get @ 1080p are welcome .

I suppose it will take a bit of time for me to get use to the new screen, also i find the OSD nice and easy to navigate and the curve on the screen is a nice touch to although not that noticeable in game to me

If you dont mind would you share your monitor settings if you have time for calibration of colors ,brightness and contrast please and if you add extra digital vibrance in Nvidia control panel or anything you think i might need to know :)
    Many Thanks :)

PS should i set the the picture mode in the OSD to sRGB to get the best color on the monitor , thanks again :) :) :)

From my limited research i did ,as far as the purple screen problems seemed to be from the first batch of monitors from last year , or that was what i read from customer reviews on the American amazon (more reviews there than the UK Amazon) , so i hope that is the case , but we do have a 2 year warranty if anything goes wrong.
Overclockers uk was the cheapest i found and i also get free next day shipping if you have a 100 or more forum posts , so that saves you 15 or so quid as well .

Ok so I got C27FG73, ready and running. Regarding pixelsize, its tiny bit noticeable by txt, but still nothing bad.. expected worse

But now I have a question, is this a monitor thing if I select response time to faster then brightness gets disabled and by the looks of it set to 100%?

Although When I checked around a bit I found this, default blackness ~13 seems ideal, 14 is in the limits.. 15 already darkens these shades too much..

    and few "settings" here,

What do you all use, or any extra tips?
