Samsung today announced that it has brought the latest software innovations to the company's most cutting-edge PCIe Gen4 solid state drive (SSD) series, opening up a new paradigm in SSD performance.... Samsung Brings Innovative Software Innovation to PCIe Gen4 SSDs
Good, good. As usual, cutting edge is offered on data centers and servers farms. When the technology is polished and more cheaper, will be offered onto the mainstream desktop computer market. Samsung knows how to taunt those who didn't join the X570 - PCIe 4.0 wagon.
Ok, to go with my 8 eypc 7H12 rig (with phase change or immersion cooling tbd) i am gonna need about 10 of these, 4 in hhhl, and 6 in u.2
So Samsung can do 6.4 with their first-gen PCI-e 4.0 drives.... not bad, it's a bit higher than the competition. But I guess we'll see once 4K results are coming in... the "max transfer rate" value is not really useful
