Plain marketing bs as plain as it can be. I want actual spec and honesty from vendors on what bit depth is the panel.

You know what kind of "creative professionals" these monitors target when not even fully extended data sheet on Samsung's website reveals what kind of bit depth or refresh rate these monitors have.
    Also can't help myself so:
"the S8 delivers a 99% sRGB color gamut for users to enjoy more vivid content"
More vivid than what, a $70 library monitor?

the 27" UHD look interesting but Need to see more specs like panel type? "#" ms/ns? curved not curved?

as thing stand my 1080p will be used to day it dies and most pc game will be ran at 1080p even if I have UHDTV

More vivid than a TI-83 calculator? The amusing thing about Samsung's marketing speak is that anyone that is after a high quality panel for workflows that need it, would never fall for it.....but people that would fall for it, are the sort that don't need that kind of quality to begin with.

S8 for office use only, 99% sRGB is a joke
