Hi, I recently purchaced this SSD which I installed a couple of days ago, I disconnected the old HDD and connected the SSD, did a clean install of windows 8.1 on to the SSD. Updated graphics drivers mobo drivers then windows updates. Updated BIOS to 2603 latest one. I then ran samsung magician`s OS Optimization, which I set to `maximum performance`and then ran `Performance optimization` and enabled Rapid mode. followed steps in this guide:- The SSD Optimization Guide Ultimate Windows 8 (And Win7) Edition on the `thessdreview` web site linked in other posts here. But It dosn`t seem much faster than my old HDD. Slightly quicker at booting/shutting down baybe. I unzipped a 213mb file on the desktop whick took 1min 13sec to unzipp. not much different to my old HDD. My HDtune benchmark shows 350MB/s transfer rate but others i`ve seen posted for the same drive all show 500MB/s for a good/healthy drive.Would post screenshots but not allowed. Any sugestions on what else I can try doing.
