Hi All I have a Samung 226bw (A panel from what I can see) hooked up to my 360 via a VGA cable. I just cannot get the colours and contrast looking right. Does anyone have any settings or suggestions for me to help dial the screen in?
same here, i got a very bad bad result here!!!! graphics looks full jaggies and worse than it looks on CRT texture doesnt look sharp, hella blunt btw, i'm using MS 1st party VGA cable at 1280x1024 and expanded color any input?
Not sure on a Xbox but Im sure DVI would improve as well as HDMI over a LCD TV rather than a PC LCD Pannel.
If you haven't already, make sure you have chosen the highest resolution your monitor can support and change the colour profile in the 360 settings blade also make sure you have installed the latest update for your 360 as there were a few quality issues with vga that have now been fixed. Your monitor may also have different colour profiles in its menu such as movie / photo / game etc...
OOOO i plan on purchasing that sam samsung within the next month and ALOS hocking up a Xbox360. ekk=\ so ill be betetr off getting a seperate lcd for the pc and consoles?
Whereabouts can I find the colour profile settings in the 360 blade? Under display in the settings menu? all I see there is the res settings
I sold my 360 before the update was released so i don't know exactly where the option is located but i think the settings you can choose are standard or expanded.
To bring up the Magicbright menu on the monitor hit the 2nd button from the left and it will give you the color options, Game, Internet, Text, etc... see if that works.
