well i agree with damien but wll, no pain no gain. i have fun but nothing to do withb repetitive dudes around :D...

And i guess range oriented skills effects the temple guardian's left arms laser..but not sure..i lvl up so it becomes powerful too. so cant really be sure if its because of my skill adjustments or the leveling up.

Anyway. this game gonna never end i guess. damn good. i wish i can EXPAND the FOG..u know what i mean. ok, we dealed with the CAMERA angle view..but still there is a FOG ahead of u ..its a must for good frame rate but cant we adjust it?

And i love the way of how hero make comments according to situation. sometimes enemy flees and he says: "Running is not an option" or something like that. Damn STEAM where is our patch!

I think that this "fog" has something to do with items that boost the "vision distance" (I don't know how it's translated in english), these items help uncover the map more efficiently.
Every % of map uncovered grants you a small % of finding valuable items.
Watch your stats ^^ hover the mouse cursor on the Epsilon symbol in the inventory window. There are other stats that appear when you hover the mouse on the top part of the inventory window.
There are LOTS of hidden things in this game, have fun :)
The only bad thing (imo) is that you can '"respec" your skill points (like in titan quest for example), so if you did something wrong (like if you took a combat art that you don't use), you have to start a new character.
It took me 5-6 tries to make my High Elf (lvl 125) efficient, but I took a combat art that I don't use (the one that lets you do combos), and I regret it :( but I don't want to start all over again.

Well I mainly play with a friend (wich plays a fire magic high elf too), in multiplayer closed net, "free" mode. And it's fun to destroy everything on sight together ^^ Doing "boss runs" or simply aggroing lots of mobs and killing them the fastest way possible.
I'm now wanting to reach lvl 140 to open the niob difficulty ^^

I tried NET COOP play last night.. just tried. created a new account. then started a COOP singleplayer. or what ever it is ...but it gave me BAD PORT or port couldnt find or something like that...i even not sure if i will able to play the game because of STEAM DELAYED LATEST PATCH..anyway, iam sure with friends, game is more fun.

Hey guys, I'm struggling with the Great Wall quest, where I escort Shirka Alana to the great wall. The problem is that I have to get her to the other side of the wall but the gate is locked. I tried the side route by the Portal and resurrection point but the cave there is locked too. Any ideas how to get through the gate?

    EDIT: Ok, got it sorted...

Just killed Carnach... god he was pretty tough, I wasted like 40 healing potions on him... but got the kill... Lvl 24 now, the game is opening up nicely... Love it...

Well, I'm just getting into the game-level 5-and really like it so far. I have every graphics option maxed at 1920x1200, AFx16 AAx4, with Elite textures and Physx enabled. So far, no slowdowns or crashes.

I appreciate all of the responses from you guys, once again welcome Jonas, and I think that I'm screwed. Games like this tend to suck me into them like no other. I'm freaking married with a kid and I'm going to have to sneak in every hour I can. Yes, I know, woe is me. :)

The only concern I have is that the level of customization, in regards to skill sets-combat arts-combos, etc, seems to be exceptionally varied. I'm just worried about making choices that, later on, will come back and bite me in the behind.

    Oh well, c'est la vie.

Don't forget that you can't "respec" your skill points later (like in titan quest for example), so you'll probably have to delete/recreate a new character if you made a mistake (choosing the wrong combat skill etc).

Thanks bro. :) Given how large this game is, I'll have to take it a bit more slowly and research every move I make.

Ahhh, Titan Quest. I spent SOOOO much time on that game that it's sick. The only thing about Sacred 2 I dislike, at least from I've read, is the relative lack of the ability to "farm" bosses. I have no problem wasting dozens of hours doing so in order to obtain the best equipment. I never, ever cheat when I play games like this because that takes all the fun out of finding the best stuff. That's one thing I didn't like about Titan Quest. It was far too easy to "cheat".

You can "farm" bosses: in multiplayer, choose the "free game" servers then teleport where you want (to any of the portals you've discovered on the world map) and farm the bosses you want (even the "secondary" bosses).
Once they are dead, choose another server.

A cool map of the bosses (though lacking the 3 new bosses of the latest update):

The world map in Sacred 2 in it's full beauty is gorgeous! Really a top game, I hope I haven't done any silly choices in my character development yet...

Is it just me but has the multiplayer part of the game been broken since yesterday? Servers down maybe?

I didn't log in multiplayer for two days (I'm busy farming eggs and chocolate bunnies in GW ^^), but I read that they were updating the server version of the game to v 2.40.1:
    http://forum.sacredeng.ascaron-net.com/showthread.php?t=58560
This might explain the difficulties to log in.

Also, don't forget the daily Mp server maintenance:

@ Damien666: it works here, it's a huge map because it's like a "google map" webpage. It may take some time to load completely. Zooming/dezooming might take some time too.
