    I swear it, each year it's the same of course. Regardlessly, website Mydrivers.com shares some  new information about AMD's Ryzen 4000 CPUs as well as the X670 motherboards. ...

    the idea that amd, on the rise of the success, would make an ASMEDIA chipset, to bring back memories from old bad days in which you could buy a VIA motherboard for a pentium machine, makes, in my opinion, and as opinion you should read this, this a completely fake rumor.

    um... the x370 and x470 were asmedia chipsets.
    the x570 is only a repurposed zen2 io die because asmedia wasn't ready to release a Gen4 controller.

    HH, went to mydrivers website, google translate had a hard time converting chinese to actual english, and didn't find the article about the whole rumour.
    But that's not important. For me, the longevity of AM4 socket is.
    However, AsMedia or VIA are not completely out of the question, but doesn't mean that I have fond memories regarding those brands, quite the opposite.

    This explains why we are still waiting for B550.
    Take your time AMD.
    Intel is surely taking their time fixing their vulnerabilities.

    @jbscotchman
    When X570 was launched and from the moment people found out that even X470 supports PCI-E 4.0 prices went up for all AM4 above medium tier level.
    Had an Msi X470 Carbon Gaming motherboard for 150€ in my Amazon wish list, was about to buy it, and poof went up to 200€.
    Nice, but I'll pass.

    I think that rumour was killed already. What changes for Zen 3 is the unified L3, also more of it (probably).

    This will be a nice upgrade to replace my 2600, in late 2021 or early 2022 (unless this motherboard dies).

    I think he means the slots directly connected to the CPU could function at PCIe 4.0 speeds, before it was taken back.
    Even though, they are not Chipset lanes, which are all PCIe 3.0 anyway on everything below X570
