    Nah, it's not awful, just very shallow with a combat system that is not very deep, the only thing you have to worry about is countering properly otherwise you can basically button-mash. It uses flashy slow-mo kills to make it more exciting than it really is but it is isn't as satisfying as, say, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. It's a tech demo really with gameplay attached to it but those graphics do a lot to distract from the game's weaker aspects. Best played in short bursts for maximum enjoyment.

    Getting flickering textures after the game reloads from a prior checkpoint. I changed SLI profile to both Crysis 3 and Sleeping Dogs using Nvidia Inspector. I have a pair of 780 GTX 3 gig cards in SLI with the latest 344.11 drivers. Any help would be appreciated or wait for a correct SLI profile from Nvidia in next set of drivers? Thanks in advance.

    Another game released without SLi support, really putting me off buying any PC games, my cards currently feel like a wasted investment.

    Ive been using SLi since the 8800GTX and to be fair it's only been this past year that I've regretted it, seems nvidia focus far to much effort on things like Shield integration, PhysX, Shadowplay, Geforce Experience etc and zero effort seems to go into making sure customers who spend a lot of money on 2 or more cards, get the experience they expect and deserve from the hardware they purchase.

    Agreed, when I took my 560Ti SLI, the SLI profiles that time around where quite good. It only got worse this year.

    I think 3 months later 760 SLI I regretted it in Watch_Dogs, now shifting to single 970 but its out of stock, so will probably wait for HBM GPUs.

    Watchdogs is to blame along with ubis crap developing skill, not sli.

    Sli has been nothing but awesome for me. The only issues i have is running out of vram.

    Pretty much almost all Crytek games were just a tech demo, aka benchmark. nothing new here.

    D3DOverrider does not work with 64 bit games until they update it.
    The vsync is double buffered but strangely enough the game is perfectly playable. I can't hit 60fps consistently, there are drops in the 50s or even 40s in heavy scenes.

    Smooth enough for me (I'll take variable framerate over a 30fps cap) and at max settings the game looks really great even if not that much of a significant leap over the Xbox One version.

    yeah i'm getting the same, playing with vsync off seems the only fix.
    forcing vsync in nv inspector doesn't seem to work either.

    It looks like Gamegpu finally included 980GTX benchmarks.. but Nv cards are much worse in this game, for example radeon 280X is 18 fps faster compared to 770GTX, hell even TITAN is slower

    That Vram usage:).. soon we will see GPU's with 6-8GB Vram :infinity:

    Why is a watercooled R9 295X slower than the R9 290X?

    We've seen similar results with DR3 before, AMD coming out in front.

    But AMD have problems on their own, for example their drivers needs much more CPU power and it shows in CPU limited scenarios

    example dead rising 3 DX11, gameGPU site CPU benchmarks:

    i5 4670 @ 3.4 GHz
    Nv card 780
    79 fps min- Avg 118
    AMD 290
    46 fps min- Avg 85

    33fps difference in minimal fps

    Yes you can force them on very high by adding these lines in the system.cfg file.
    Paste these under sys_localization_folder=Localization in the system.cfg file

    sys_spec_texture=4
    sys_spec_textureresolution=4

    Now when you launch the game you will see in the video options that they are set to very high.

    Here is a fix to enable triple buffering.
    Create an autoexec.cfg in the main game folder and add this to it and save.

    r_FullscreenWindow=1

    Launch the game and in the options menu put the game in window mode and in game vsync on and the game will run in fullscreen with triple buffering enabled.
    EDIT: after doing the above you can set the game to fullscreen again in options menu without losing triple buffering.

    What are you getting with 970 sli?

    I'm using the sleeping dogs profile and with everything on max (very high), supersampling/upscaling off, 2560x1440 i am getting around 37-42 fps.

    But when i see performance in afterburner card 1 uses about 55-70% and card 2 45-60%.
    do we need a proper sli profile to get it working right?
