When I do auto overclock on amd software it overclocks to 1505mhz and I don't know if that's safe or a good overclock
Test it out but thats probably way to far and unstable. XTR is better binned chip so start with 1450mhz and do some benchmarking/gaming.
Trying 1500mhz with 2250mhz memory on GTA V for more than an hour and no problems, going to try other games and btw do you know any other tweaks I can do to help with fps ?
Even if the card seems stable hwinfo shows memory full of errors so he careful with that card performance degrades over time. Max stable for mine was 1450/2100 without any errors or crashes. That is with auto timings.
Forget what I said about my OC I didn't applied it xD The moment I did I had GTA V opened and it crashed 1min later Edit: added more voltage and is running stable now
I had a RX480 watercooled and bios mooded, Best thing to test is Timespy just leave it on loop for like an hour and check for errors if it passes, Try a game thats heavy on the vram. Mine passed the 1500mhz but it was a rx480, 580s oc way better.
I would really like to bios mod my Rx 580 pulse, it's actually cooled by a corsair h55 + kraken g12, so its really cool and quite so I want to get the most out of it, is there a good guide for it? I can't seem to find one on here.
I actually didnt try it becouse there was no need in my case. This 580 extr have 180w tdp bios with 6+8pin pcie while your pulse only have 140w and single 8pin. You'll be power limited. Card pulls 220w when overclocked and overvolted. Miners always edit the bios on their cards so there is a polaris editor.
Yeah I kinda guessed I would be power limited, I have seen it eat upwards of 155w on HWiNFO, but then software.... I can get my Memory up to 2225 on auto, I would like to tighten timings etc, get a good stable OC, then just flash it slightly under (just in case driver updates, wear etc) I'm not a miner
2000 lvl 2 have the same performance as 2250 auto thats what im using, seems more stable too. Like i said above be carefull with the memory errors it will degrade the performance overtime.
