I managed to knock 10c+ off my Vega w/ Alphacool Eiswolf 240 temps. Note to self: Set watercooler pump to read GPU temps not CPU temps in BIOS. Now that that boneheaded issue is out of the way I can really put the cooler through it's paces.

Also, is it worth switching to LC BIOS?

    Some say YES :D
You can always try and if not satisfied revert to Original.

    UPD.
Now i know for sure, that FH4 utilises 4 Effects in ACE ;) (GPU in Xbox don't have more, but next-Gen will have it :D)
Now think about game that utilises 8 ACEs >150FPS in 1440p?

    Assassin's Creed Odyssey's

    -> https://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/software/assassin_s_creed_odyssey_pc_performance_review/15

What Ubisoft needs to do is address the Assassin's Creed series' CPU issues, if not for this release for their next one. Shadow of the Tomb Raider showed us how modern graphical APIs could be used to improve CPU performance,
making an API shift a must for future games in the series. Either that or Ubisoft needs to change how the game uses processors on PCs at a fundamental level.

V-RAM needs for HBM2 is significantly lower than GDDR counterparts -> HBCC is OFF in those tests (So we can easily add +5FPS to Low/Hi, cuz' every sane person have it Default ON)

On my RIG (Beta Tester) it newer dips below 70FPS in Multi ;) 1702/1175 +1% POW

Been a member here for years and years, been popping in here at times to see what's what. I spend most of my time over at OCUK forums though when it comes to GPU's.

I bought the reference Sapphire Vega 64 on launch day. I planned prior to purchase it will be going in existing custom loop so reference was fine for me. I just had to deal with that horrendous blower for a week or so whilst waiting for the EK goodies (which was absolute hell). Flashed it with an LC bios once I put it under water and there the Vega fun started.

The card has run at 1800/1150 before (around 1770mhz actual clock when gaming) but due to needing nuclear levels of voltage and a scary day with black screens back then, I don't run it there anymore. These days for 24/7 gaming I just run 1700/1100 with 1100mv on core and 950mv on HBM. Yields around 1680mhz solid clocks when gaming at these settings, temps on both the core and HBM never push past 40c (usually sits around 38/39c on both with hotspot peaking around 68c).

For me, gaming quietly with Vega64 on a 1440p 144hz freesync monitor is an excellent smooth experience. I've been very impressed with V64 for over a year now, plus it's an excellent card to tinker with. I would definitely recommend one to anyone.

I did however want to break the 27k gfx score today so had a little bench, bumped up the numbers from the norm just a little to do so.

    8700K @ 5GHz (water cooled)
Vega 64 @ 1750/1150 (custom water loop with liquid bios flashed)
    18.10.1 Driver

    Total Score - 22708
    Graphics Score - 27256
    Physics Score - 21245
    Combined Score - 10571

Vega & Next-Gen Consoles based on it will harness Full HW DX12.1
The only GPU on the Planet that has Full H/W Support for all Next-Gen DX/VLK API Feature Set.
    Where is Crysis 4? ;) :p

As long as the 7nm gaming Vega comes with some sort of Ray Tracing capability, i'm sold. That and a new 32" or 38" screen. Then I'd be in gaming heaven. Bring it on AMD.

You know, game that is build from ground Up to Harness Full HW render path of DX12.0 or 12.1
Like DeusEx MkD packed with good amount of cool Tech (DX11_2) -> On new WinX DeusEx working for me only in DX11 (and it is working Great BTW ;))

Absolutely, that is why I'm really looking forward to Metro Exodus. That is one sweet looking game. That and Cyberpunk 2077 are day one buys because of the tech in them.

I just checked that review (June 2018) RX56 Nano use ruffly 404 watts of power on full system load.

AMD really need to work on that. I mean the 1080 Ti weighs in at 380 watts while having +50% horsepower?

It's going to be a very interesting and important week (at least for me) seeing how the new RTX 2070 cards perform.

Also now that they've been released, I would expect AMD to leak something new about Navi.

I think that is where Navi will come in. GCN is a bit of a power hog (not that, that is a huge issue) but Navi might just be a whole new architecture.
