When I see bench results like this, it's usually because the game developers have only made optimisations for one set of hardware and the only QA done for the other side is "Does it run? Yes. Ok no problem" - I wouldn't blame AMD/ATi for skewed results like this.

You would think the devs would have done a better job of it considering optimizing for console would be desired. I guess they don't plan to release to console.

Its simple they use nvidia. Nvidia Optimized.

AMD needs to get cards to more devs teams

D3D11 and hitting that CPU bottleneck? Hmm would be interesting to see what DXVK could do on the game but I guess the Total War games in general since around Empire or Shogun 2 would work for that particularly the newer big campaigns of Warhammer although the entire system will inevitably hit some engine limit so it's not just GPU overall.

EDIT: Well that's my idea for how the AMD cards are all there together at least but yeah optimization and driver support could see the Navi and Vega improve a bit. R VII too of course.
(Minimums in particular for getting closer to the 1070Ti for the 5600 and 5700 performance.)

What frustrates me.... Game devs optimise on AMD, the games run excellent on all hardware, optimise for nVidia, runs crap on AMD and older nVidia.....

Me either ;) but it's damn AMD Sponsored Game (i mean HZD) !
Show me one example (similar) when GTX 1080 or RTX 2080 will be on par with their Low/Mid end?

Hmm...... FFS they all need to get a Grip :eek:o_O:mad::confused::oops:

    PS.
I know my Vega can do better but i thought it's because of my Tweaks :p
Game is free at Epic BTW.

    Note:
But still this isn't relevant, looking at Horizon ZD ;) Vega 56 = Polaris 590 lol or LC = 1070Ti....

Both games are just bad in optimization.

Yesteday I got the Rage 2 amazing game, for some reason my vega 64 keeps only at like 90% still 60 fps at 1440p but really dont know the reason.

    RX Vega 64 in 2020 - Kana's FineWine Edition (3 years later)

A few months ago I finally got my hands on a decently priced RX Vega 64 LC to replace my R9 Fury X and wrote a review recently.
I already knew that another "FineWine" review article was coming the moment I started playing a few games. It took a while to finish everything, but I have benched the Radeon RX Vega 64 LC against 18 different games at multiple resolutions.

This article includes roughly 64 individual benchmarks. Although it was time consuming I believe it was worth it.
My review is somewhat unique due to me running my 12 year old Intel X58 platform which only has a PCIe 2.0 x16 slot for the Vega 64.
This review will give people more insight into how well both of them perform together. As usual feel free to leave your comments at the end of the article.

The full review includes more in-depth testing and charts such as the RX Vega 64 Comparison Against the RX 5700 XT vs RTX 2060S & 2070S vs GTX 1080 & 1080Ti (+ price per performance) and more specific information such as Real Time Benchmarks,
Power Consumption and 3DMark Firestrike GPU scores etc. It's too much to post it ALL here in one thread.

testing out Vegas on this type of Vram utilization and not turning on HBCC is stupid...

As I experience often, I run ark with my friends and its normal to have 9 to 11G vram used special on the bigger maps when you change areas and the game puts more in to cache. And I do notice a fps diference.

Was comparing your result to mine.. used to have a vega 64 lc. I loved pushing it to the edge. Then i bought another one. .crossfire didnt deliver what i hoped for. sold them for a good price and bought a used rx5700xt nitro+.. now i feel sad i sold my vega.. there is no fun tuning a rx5700xt..

    edit:
p.s. did you try tuning the memory timings on your hbm?
