The RT penalty on AMD cards is insane....50%
On the green side, even GMs don't get anything over 35%, GPs around 30%.

    Should be called RTX benchmark...

We need to see on Pascal cards, they dont have RT hardware.

    Game: Forza H4 (1080p FHD)

Last one is my 1440p Ultra (im playing this on MSAAx4 + FXAA and some opt. on Extreme :p AMD FreeSync at 71Hz)

    Reflections are broken on AMD?

This game seems to favor Nvidia a lot, since the 1080 outperforms V64. Maybe in 1440p it's different though...

But I don't understand why the RT performance hit is so much worse on Vega. I thought, if anything, AMD should perform better than non-RTX Nvidia at Real-time Raytracing, because of the better computational performance...

Nothing is working on Radeons now, it's DX11 BTW.
You'll have only GFX calc. there.
We need to wait for December Update or for DX12 ver.

RTX cores or hardware only works on DX12+DXR/Vulkan. The difference would be much more substantial if they were active. In this benchmark it's apples to apples comparison between underlying architectures RT capability using Intel api.

I wasn't implying that it's an RTX tech demo...if that was the case there would be huge differences between GM/GP and Tu cards, whereas we can clearly see that is not what's happening. All the green cards suffer a penalty around 30-35%, all the reds (all GCN gens+Navi) around 50%. That's not "apples to apples", it's something completely different.

I dont think RT is even turned on in AMD drivers . Probably is emulating. If you look at 980ti they use same drivers as pascal, so its working. Lets see what AMD does.

It has nothing to do with being on in drivers since it is not related to DXR api. It is using Intel's Embree library to perform Ray Tracing (tank shadows in WOT).

Been on Skyrim again. game always runs at 60 fps did not unlock. i have allot of mods to get the game uptodate a bit.

So it uses max 150w on the vega this is in the most demanding places.

Turned on Chill and 50w use with 60 fps, when im not doing nothing drops to 48fps and W goes to really low numbers.

Chill is nice. People need to try this more because it drops Gpu usage and power allot.

Chill is also making your gpu underclocks while saving power and it can indruduce some stuttering. Personaly i would always disable it.

Actually there is no stuter. I do notice them when they hapend in oher games. But as Vega goes they love chill . Remember your cpu is also driving the GPU. With my rx480 chill was always off as the latency was high. But with Vega is really nice.

    Depends on game.
For 3rd PP is good to have it but for BFV is not ;)
