I replaced my RTX 2070 SUPER with this bad boy, unfortunately I'm having nothing but troubles with it. The problem is that the card will never ever in any game run at 100% when FPS is below 141 FPS. And no, it's not CPU bottleneck, I checked. Benchmarks run as they should, but game are not. When I tested in SotTR, I set everything to lowest, but framerate didn't improve. That being said, GPU usage went even lower and so did CPU usage. I found many complaints about this on the web, bot no solution that would help me. Do you guys have any idea what is happening?

    1080p is a joke for 6800XT
it can literally run 4x1080p at 100 fps
idk if you'd manage to use 100% of 6700xt in many games at 1080p frankly

okay,so change the resolution via vsr to 4k,see if it doesn't increase gpu usage.

Try increasing power limit. Stock this card can run into its power limit and wont clock any higher.

Also, @cucaulay malkin isn't wrong. My 6800xt can score higher than 3090s

    https://www.3dmark.com/spy/21775390

Dangerously close to 23K points on my graphics score.

Cannot see what your problem is. Your card seems to be working perfectly well.
If you run SotTR benchmark you will see that your GPU usage will go to virtually 100%,
When you turn everything down then obviously both GPU and CPU have to do less work and will not reach anywhere near max usage.

    Weird.
Try hardlock OC GPU, like 2400min 2500 max and see it will help. What CPU do u have and RAM?

    This^....the only logical answer.

you should have bought a cheaper card for 1080p

This^...again/ 4k monitor will max that b**** out 100% if that's what OP is asking.

The image would look great though!....6800XT is a kick ass/ take names later card!

OK, first off, 1080p monitor doesn't mean rendering at 1080p. And second off, I have 1440p monitor.

With that out of the way, the problem here is that the card is not reaching full usage even when well bellow frame limit (141 FPS). Check this screenshot: https://imgur.com/HVMcbl7 And this is happening in majority of games.

But it doesn't, that's the problem. In market in Paitity it actually goes down to around 80%.

I can't even make it run to its power limit of 300W.

well thanks for informing us early !

cause it's a cpu heavy area
seems about right,3080 is at 80% too

you are making a big deal out of it.

    I have a 6800xt and a 3900x.

Its a very powerfull card for 1080p and 1440p.

Yes cpus will bottleneck this card a bit on some tittles

I have mine with chill on 75 to 144 fps. Let it control the usage and have way less power used and heat, fps.

The 300w power it depends on the 6800xt, mine does 265w if I dont change any settings

If you had a nvidia card I hope you have used DDU to remove any trace of nvidia drivers, this can cause huge conflicts and problems.
Any cpu below 5800x will bottleneck this card on some games.

I did use DDU, but that wasn't enough and I had to reinstall entire Windows, which did make it a lot better, don't get me wrong, but it's far from perfect:
    1. Microstuttering galore in every game.
    2. Heavy stuttering in SotTR in same places every time I go through them, regardless of quality settings.
    3. VSync enforcement via drivers is still broken.
    4. OpenGL performance is still broken and as a bonus, I couldn't even use MSAA in Wolfenstein.
    5. I cannot force AA in older games, such as Painkiller.
    6. And lack of DLSS, which means in Metro Exodus EE I gained like 10 FPS with same settings. Wow.

All in all, that increase in raw performance came at a terrible cost which I'm not willing to pay.

@Terepin I think it's a different story if you're familiar with amd to be fair, tho when i read OP my first thought was 'amd'.
I'm total amd noob too, wouldn't mind one of their cpus tho.
Have high hopes for their 7000 series.

It's not the card that I have problem with, it's the software that sux and not only because of lack of functional parity, but also because the ancient bugs that AMD simply isn't bothered to fix even after years of their existence. nVidia is an asshole company, but at least they invest into their software support, which cannot be said the same about AMD.

Yes dude we know, it's the 'software' ala drivers, just send it back least you've got spare card, it's still a beast card in the right hands.
