Ya know how ya shut everything down that's running. Well the only thing running is explorer and I don't know why. Can't find systemtray in msconfig startup anymore. Everything works ok just wondering. I'm running w98se.

If it's working ok then all should be ok - from what I recall systray.exe only needs to be present to show icons and stuff in the systray such as the volume control icon etc.

If you want it back you need to check in the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

click on run and in the right panel, right-click and select New String Value. Change its name to SystemTray. Double-click the SystemTray entry and type: Systray.exe and click OK. Reboot the system and systray should appear in the Close Program screen.
