Let's hope so, but I checked their site, that 198MH miner costs $2200 and their 230MH model is $2300. Both have a $90 customs fee as well. I'm afraid if RX Vega is comparable to that per dollar we might still be ****ed.

Edit: Nevermind, Vega doesn't compare, yay.

Please God, kill those miners. I mean every miner in the world. Also, please make these cryptocurrencies obsolete and anyone who tries to invent these gets executed by unknown serial killers with an extreme hatred for cryptocurrencies.

Theory vs practice. Its being stated its its really unlikely that those cards will reach those numbers since they are what the cards are theoretically are capable of. Cards cannot be compared 1 on 1 since they use different types of memory/bus-width and speeds.

Below the impact memory speed has on MH's.
    480 4 GB (7Ghz memory) 21.5 - 22MH/s
    480 8 GB (8Ghz memory) 23.5 - 24MH/s
A bios mod that changes ram timings/settings can add another 2-3 MH's

I just though the catchy headline was a bit over the edge, as with all crypto-currency miner stories.

What with Ryzen being a huge success and TR looking set to curbstomp Intel on the HEDT front, perhaps AMD designed these cards for mining to simply sell them, and sell they will, very very well. Good money for AMD, but as a gamer, a shame Nvidia still has no equal in the top tier...though at least Nvidia haven't pulled an Intel and stagnated the GPU market with overpriced feeble quad cores for a decade.:infinity:

Ether mining performance is directly related to memory bandwidth of the card so it's just impossible a card with less bandwidth of fury x, magically give three times more hashrate.

One or more New Instructions have been added, specifically for CryptoCoin Mining.
Until we get reviews from everywhere, its just speculation, but very possible.

he might be the biggest douche in the universe, or not, but I have zero sympathy for anyone who preordered based on his overhyping.

1st of all how fvking stupid one has to be to buy into seller hype with zero evidence, no source, and which uses words like "seems" and "insanely good if true"

2nd miners are in it for the moneyz. they are betting, sometimes winning and sometimes losing.
And if they had won, they'd be bragging for months, look at me I so smart I made ****load $$$. Well tough luck hombre its CRYING TIME :wanker:

fan boyz pre order stuff, in gaming its a little less stupid but they do it every day.

I don't know much of the guy but in this case he was better not saying anything about it.he knew it would be a tough sale without miners taking interest
