hehe men this will be the card that vetran will got an me to it is to be final the worthy sucsesor to my migty 8800GTX (at a last!) we will both have the big card to swing vetran (along with are one in are pants hehe
are you serious mate? 8800gtx is obsolete..A worthy ancestor i would say would be the GTX 480 which was revolutionary from point of view.
show me a gpu with the power of Titan X with power 100 or less wattages. and i will buy it , though i think we along ways off from that still
100watt in mobile devices is suicide for the device special with how slim they keep making them. But i was mostly talking about desktop gpu
Oh so you're talking in terms of x50 gpu class, the lowest cards per series, made with the crappiest components. It will be a while.
imagine if 300watt gpus are thing of the past, we could have desktops that use less heat, and power ( i dont really care about power used but related to heat), wont need lots fans to cool it and can use smaller case, which in turn mean mean mobile would be close behind.performance wise anyway, battery wise they will remain screwed lol, or maybe i dreaming to much i just miss using gpu that didnt need more then 1 power plug connected to it or hell gpus that use no powerplug. To me huge feat to me would be titan tier gpus running off the power that is supplied from slot it connected to, which is what 75watt limit with current pci-e? but i like said i probably just pipe dream for the moment
You can game really good at 720p with a 750 no extra power port needed. I don't think we are far for that on 1920x1080. Pascal could be a game changer but Intel has been making so huge jumps with their iGPU as well.
not talking about igpu, if intel could make igpu on par to highen gpu that would be feat, but for that to happen certian things need to happen
Even tho console's will hold us back you should not forget DX12 and Xbox One. Its running on both.. My personal take on it will be, games made for the Xbox will be (hopefully) easily ported over to PC (Forza 2014 demo anyone?). Then dev's only have to release an HD texture pack, update graphical feature's, add KB/M support and we are set :infinity: Prolly wont go like that, but one can only hope.
My personal take on "new consoles mean easy PC ports" is Batman: Arkham Knight. Anyways, my old 660Ti is running Witcher 3 and Dragon Age: Another Boring Sequel pretty much maxed out at 40+ fps (like 41 ) and I am happy with it. Mostly cause I want to wait for pure DX12 cards a year from now to build a new rig from scratch. As a developer, I decided to scrap my UE4 project and released a pre-rendered 2D project recently. But I am hoping to jump into UE4 with DX12 card in the future. Sexy sexy UE4.. mmmm...
