Just Finished installing my TUF OC. Huge Improvement for me vs my RTX 3090Ti.



Stock Settings Results. Only change is enabling XMP for my Ram.

 

Missed opportunity to show how frame generation effects on cpu bottleneck.

 

Is that a 360 Lian Li Galahad? How is it coping with the 13900k?

Do you have a shop where you can try a product and then return it? ("öppet köp" in Swedish, guess it's pretty much the same thing in Danish )

How are the fans? I've read a lot about poor fan quality on the Zotac cards. Since these cards seem to have almost no coil whine, it's my plan B.

Any coil whine on that card (when not using head phones)?

The Trio looks great but I really dislike MSIs GPU sag solution. I had one on my old MSI 3080 Gaming X Trio and that bracked hardly helped at all. ASUS and especially Gigabyte have much better solution.

Eww, you're right. If the sound is high pitch then it's bad. If it's just a wooshing sound, I can live with that.

 

It's not high pitched, it's a mechanical whirring that's there even when the fans are spinning at min. RPM.

During gaming, it's not really a problem. Once the case & CPU fans ramp up as well, it blends in.

But when not gaming, if you don't have good enough case airflow, the GPU fans will switch on/off to maintain temps under 45C. That would be annoying.

In the mean time I read about this guy who had a TUF and only used 3 PCIe cables, like me. He got a fourth one and now he has no coil whine (which seems a bit like magic), so I'll try that. Fingers crossed!

 

4090 and i9-13900K seems to be the most insane computer anyone can build right now, might even become sentient .

 

So how’s everyone’s power adapters holding up? Seems like Reddit is the only place I’ve actually seen any reports of problems.

Mines been fine personally, no melting at all.

I’ve been tempted to throw a poll up.
