Just Ordered myself an MSI RTX 4080 Suprim X with an MSI x670e Tomahawk and an AMD 7800x3d, the only thing that is missing is some RAM, should order these this weekend hopefully :D

Been on 4k since 2017 with much lesser cards. 4080 does well with latest games. Current display 43" QN90B.

4080 looks a lot better than it's competition, and thats not even mentioning DLSS etc.

Terrible power consumption, even in games that are not demanding at all. You will never see such a vid on HUB (whom are in a never-ending rant about the 8gb 4060ti vs other AMD cards).

    It's pretty rough.
Certainly makes AMD seem the worse choice once the utility bill hits.

4080 turned out to be a really nice GPU, if there ever was any doubt.

    Yup that's the sad fact.
Im more interesting to see Both under an UV tho :p
My GPU with UV hits ~90tW in D4 1440p HDR DLSS B and 68FPS cap .... ;) and it still looking AMAZING...

Now im looking into bright Future and my next 5090 GPU with UV at 120 FPS Cap .... 60tW ?

Good day all, I have a strange issue that happened to me today with my RTX 4080.
I upgraded my system from an intel x299 platform with gtx 1080 to an AMD x670e with RTX 4080. AFter formatting and installing Windows 11 and all the latest drivers, the PC worked flawlessly for 4 days until today!
I booted my PC as usual, it booted fine but as soon as I fired a game, the frame rate was unplayable 20FPS from a normal 250FPS ( Naval Action game) tried another game (Diablo 4) same issue, FPS is low 10's !!! I checked MSI Afterburner and found out that my Suprim X rtx 4080 is stuck at 850 MHZ on desktop and in games, also the Memory was stuck at Maximum speed too!
I rebooted again but this time the PC booted to a black screen with a broken green line with some dots. I removed the card and installed my old GTX 1080 and fired the PC and it worked fine in games with no issues, then replaced the GTX 1080 with the RTX 4080 and guess what...it is working fine !!!! I'M FREAKING OUT HERE, ANY IDEAS!!

OK, something is not right, the issue happened again exactly the same way, I turn off the PC, turn it back on and the card is stuck at 850MHz, turning off the PC will make it reboot into a black screen with a green broken line, then third blood the PC works fine, this issue started only today. one more thing, also audio setting gets missed up too during the issue. is it a driver issue ?!!?!

Do you have another PC to test the card in?

No, the card works fine after the 3rd reboot! I might redo a system wipe and reinstall windows.

OK, I'm developing a theory about what went wrong with my setup, I installed Windows without the RTX 4080 using the integrated Graphics card on the 7800x3d CPU to test the motherboard and the RAM and also to check out the Corsair XC5 Pro water block as I am not familiar with Corsair water blocks at all. Any way after that I installed the RTX 4080 and worked on it for 4 days before removing the AMD adrenalin Graphics card drivers which are installed by Windows update. This seems to trigger the issue. uninstalling the AMD software might need the use of DDU to remove the leftovers.
PC is working fine since last night with the integrated GPU disabled from BIOS and Windows installed with the RTX 4080 installed.

This is just a theory that I can't confirm 100%

Have you tried setting it at max performance in NV CP? Not that this is a fix, but just to see how it behaves.

I can confirm known issue with AMD X670/E and Nvidia GPU 4xxx. How I know is it happened to me. BIOS for the AMD boards and Nvidia GPU's should be up to date but it is possible your combination especially with some monitors is just causing problems. With certain monitors you do not even get video display out.

Took me days with RTX 4090 and AMD x670e just to install windows with installing on IGPU trick but there were still problems after that with GPU performance in games. To solve my problem I just bought another computer and sold off the AMD stuff which most people can not do in reality.

I could not be bothered waiting for the correct BIOS fix from Nvidia and AMD motherboards. Also not all issues are ironed out on yet on Nvidia 4xxx cards.I have owned 4080/4090 cards
