No reason to feel bad now. The Super edition is just a few percent better in current games.

Another very cool thing you can do fellow Guru is sell your card if you wanted. The resale value for the 4070TI is still high. The difference in upgrading to the 4070TI Super should be less than $150.00 or compatible currency value. Only if you feel it's worth it.

  5. Nah I'll keep using it as long as it is enough (don't play that much new games anymore anyway) and when it isn't, I'll get something completely different if needed.

Performance is more than enough and have yet to find a game that would need more VRAM than what the 4070 Ti has.
That is including both RE4 remake and RE Village with maxed out settings incl. ray tracing at 1440p native. Even if the game claims such settings would need almost 14 GB VRAM, in truth the peak I've seen is around 10 GB and have no issues running either game.

One thing I do see is the VRAM consumption varies more than with a 6800 XT so the game or driver is likely doing more aggressive "scrubbing" of VRAM but that's just smart.

I'm starting to think the game indicated value is the absolute maximum under worst case scenario if "everything" is preloaded into VRAM.

  6. Which surprises absolutely no one, lols

Over here the Supers seem to go for sale for a little more what the 4070 Ti's used to be, between 50 .... 100 EUR more depending on model.

You gotta love the current listing:

It might not even be a VBIOS issue but possibly a hardware issue at this point.

Yikes! Not good. MSI better get a handle on that quickly especially since the other manufacturers are performing much better.

how do u cap 60? ofc ur not on a 144hrz monitor, because otherwise u ll feel lag and stutter, for me i need to limit fps to 74 or 75 to make singleplayer games run smooth, anything less than 74 fps is stutter

that s great if ur playing singleplayer games, but im not sure anyone plays competitive games at 4k, it s gonna be a hassle with 80fps, it will not be smooth at all

I think 0.985v is the sweetspot for the GPU, when i set it at 0.975v then HWiNFO64 actually shows the core going back up to 1.020v. Also could boost it even more with a Jtag.

I enable MSI Turbi mode on my 4070 Ti and I got about 5% more performance.

I just bought the MSI Ventus 3x 4070 Ti Super OC and it worked really good out of the box. I did the BIOS update for it and doesn't seem to have had much of an effect. Gained about 5ish%. The thing overclocks very well. I set my overclocks to what Hilbert had set their review sample to and this thing is a BEAST!! Seeing 3ghz on the core blew my mind. So far rock solid. Just wanted to put my 2 cents in and join the 40 series club(LoL).

My next upgrade was going to be a 4070 Super, but my budget has stretched so ill be getting a 4070 Ti Super in 2 months. As 12gb vram just won't cut it for 3440x1440.

If you intend to pay the premium for a 5090 or 5080, sure. If you want a 5070 model though, that's gonna be a long wait. I decided to get a 4070 Ti S and skip Blackwell.
