Got me a Asus dual RTX4070 OC for my son's computer too I realy like that card
ps I got mine back.

 

I'm looking to get a 4070 (to replace my 6yr old MSI 1070 Gaming X). I'm looking for quiet reliable performance so currently looking at the Founders Edition or the Asus Dual OC edition.

Concerned about coil whine, fan noise and general reliability.

And experience/views?

 

I have Asus Dual OC and do not hear coil whine.

 

No coil whine here on both cards (asus dual oc)

Any body here with the tuf version from asus? Want to know what the hotspot is under load? for reference

 

Hotspot for Asus 4000 series will increase over time, no more than 2 months come back and tell us you result.

Any way to boot rtx 4060 mobile all the way upto 140watts

I had some minor issues with my A770 it was nice to trouble shooting along the way now the yourney has ended for me. I was happy with the card FYI

I don't have any coil whine on my founders edition.

Ran Unigine Heaven on Extreme preset for about 10 minutes in an airconditioned room (set to 26 degrees C. Ambient should be a little bit higher since I'm in a tropical country). Everything stock (I literally installed the GPU like 30 minutes ago)

Joinin the club, after 7 years of GTX 1070.
Tried to undervolt at flat 2805Mhz for .95V, seems ok for cyberpunk RT overdrive but crashes on quake II RTX and witcher 3 RTX

 

I purchased the Asus Dual RTX 4070 o/c version. Very quiet and no coil whine I notice. Benchmarks with flying colours and passes OCCT 10mins core and memory tests no problem. All seems good with modern games which I play at 2k. However some of the older games I play such as Oblivion and Skyrim with Power Management Mode Normal, according to Nvidia Experience the graphics card often drops to only a few hundred MHz, I'm assuming this is because the games are predominately taxing the CPU rather than graphics card?

HOWEVER I also play a few really old games such as Tumblebugs and Risk II. With these games the graphics card runs at only 210Ghz, unfortunately after playing for a while (typically about 20 mins), the screen goes black and gracefully drops to the desktop. Tumblebugs minimises and I can maximise and continue, Risk II crashes with an app error. If I set Power Management Mode on Prefer Maximum Performance, they don't crash, but of course running at 2520Mhz, so using a lot more power than necessary. Is there anyway to set the 210Ghz to a specified higher figure but not as high as the maximum? My old 2060 used to run at 405GHz if I remember correctly and those games ran fine.
