Hi... Guys.. I'm having some kind of bad experience with new RTX 3080. According to the attached pictures. Do you think it's driver issue or hardware fail? I'm also having some kind of weird issue where by the 1st boot after long shutdown then it will boot into Windows with no Display output or completely freeze up. My spec: CPU: AMD Ryzen 3800X MB: MSI MEG X570 ACE RAM: G.Skill FlareX 8GB x 2 @ 15-15-15-15-30 1.4v GPU: Zotac Gaming RTX 3080 10GB Trinity. Monitor: LG C9 55" OLED TV Settings: Instant Game Response = Off G-Sync = Off Desktop Resolution = 3840 x 2160 / HDR = Enabled / 10 Bits / RGB HAGS = On World of Tanks in Game Settings Resolution = 3840 x 2160 Refresh Rate = 120Hz V-Sync = Off Quality = Max
That also reminds me of artefact i had when using Photoshop while sharpening was set in nvidia control panel. Can you show a screenshot of your nvidia control panel 3D settings? Have you tried underclocking/undervolting the GPU to check for power usage issues? Does the PSU have multi-rail/monorail settings? try monorail is that's the case. What temperature you're running at?
It looks like an issue with HDR, a couple of things to try and isolate if it is: Try with HDR turned off in the game, see if the problem goes away completely. With HDR on again, turn brightness and/or contrast down a lot on the display to see if it makes any difference.
check how high your gpu boosts, there are some recent reports of users seeing their card boost to 2040Mhz on a regular base. And experiencing crashes and display errors. Underclocking seems to help in those scenarios.
Check memory temperature as well in Hwinfo. I don't see why it would overheat but gddr6x is supposed to run very hot. Perhaps the cooler is not fully making contact.
@OP Looks like speculars are overshooting to incorrect values, causing over-blooming. First disable HDR and then please report the bug to WOT devs and/or NVIDIA driver team.
I had crashing issues with my MSI GeForce 3080 Ventus 3x OC. I had to downclock the card by -10 on the core with MSI Afterburner and it stopped the crashing. But I'm also seeing the square artifacting in starcraft 2 when moving around quickly sometimes. Temps are only 50*C at the time of it happening, so not overheating. I can play hitman 2 max, cod max with no issues, might be just an issue with sc2.
That will be caused by this, unstable GPU voltage at very high boost clocks due to bad capacitor choices. https://www.igorslab.de/en/what-rea...tabilities-of-the-force-rtx-3080-andrtx-3090/ The fix with either be a recall to change the capacitors, or prevent it boosting too high with a new driver or a bios patch. Ops problem might be caused by this as well.
Seems it's because Zotac decided to use the cheapest capacitors. https://www.igorslab.de/en/what-rea...tabilities-of-the-force-rtx-3080-andrtx-3090/ The only thing you can do right now is underclock it with MSI Afterburner, try -50 (Yes MINUS) so it doesn't boost as high anymore. Zotac will most likely come with a similar fix in the form of a vbios update, as there is nothing else that can be done.
Updated to 465.55 but still having completely crash and freeze up issue. The only working workaround for now is to down clock by 50MHz.
HAGS seem to be the culprit here. Disabled HAGS then become stable at stock clock now. If enable HAGS then have to down clock by 50MHz. Not sure how these 2 things related.
