    Hi,

Sorry if it's the wrong forum to report a bug.

RTSS causes the new Windows Terminal to crashes when you open and/or close tabs in the application.

I had to add the WindowsTerminal.exe and the others executable from the WindowsTerminal folder in RTSS and set the Application Detection to "None" (disable it) to fix the issue.

    edit: edited for clarity.

It happens when you create and delete tabs, sometimes it's instant sometimes it takes a couple of open/closes to crash. It hasn't happened since I disabled the application detection for the Windows terminal in RTSS. I'm also using rtss 7.3 beta 6 with Windows 10 2004 and 20h2, it crashed with versions of Windows 10.

I did open and close several tabs before posting. No crashes.

Interesting note, should have been in first post.
Did you exclude only WindowsTerminal.exe or OpenConsole.exe as well?

    edit:
Did at least 50 new tabs and closed them again with only WindowsTerminal.exe excluded and then again with OpenConsole.exe excluded as well. Between different exclusions always closed and restarted Windows Terminal.
    No crashes...

I disabled the Application detection for WindowsTerminal.exe OpenConsole.exe and WT.exe. I used the Powershell and WSL2 Shell tabs randomly closing and reopening them for an hour or two and Windows terminal didn't crash. It kept crashing before when I didn't add the .exe to RTSS to disable Application detection. Sometimes on the first try to open a tab, sometimes it took a couple more.

I use ESET Internet Security as antivirus, maybe it's their behavior engine HIPS that causes issues. edit: The antivirus has nothing to do with this issue
